Redi-Ride

Meridian Redi-Ride is an advance reservation, curb-to-curb service traveling within the township and to select locations beyond the township’s service area which include Meijer Bath Township, Costco, MSU Clinical Center, College Fields, East Lansing Aquatic Center (seasonal) and McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital.

$2.50 Regular one-way fare^
$1.25 Discounted one-way fare^^

^Applies to adults under 62 years of age not eligible for the discounted fare and students with valid college or CATA Student ID card
^^Applies to Medicare cardholders, seniors 62-plus years of age with valid CATAClub card and persons with disabilities with valid CATAClub or ADA card.

NOTE: Transferring to a lower-fare service or from a Redi-Ride service to fixed-route service is free. However, transfers from fixed-route service to a Redi-Ride service will not be accepted.

To Schedule a Ride

• CATA requires that trips be scheduled a minimum of four hours in advance of the desired pickup times.
• Rides needed Monday through Friday before 10:30 a.m. or before noon on Saturday must be reserved before 5 p.m. the day before.
• Trips are scheduled in the order requests are received and are limited to availability of space on the bus.
• Advance reservations will be limited to no more than seven days prior to any desired trip date(s).
• View Redi-Ride fare information. 

To Cancel a Ride 

• Ride cancellations must be made no later than four (4) hours prior to the scheduled trip.
• Trips scheduled Monday through Friday before 10:30 a.m. or Saturday before noon must be canceled by 5 p.m. the day before.
• Trips scheduled for the day after a holiday before 10:30 a.m. must be canceled by 5 p.m. the day prior to the holiday. 
• Failure to follow the cancellation procedure will result in penalties in accordance with CATA's no-show rules.

Use Meridian Redi-Ride to travel within Meridian Township and select locations beyond the township boundaries, or to connect with the following CATA fixed-route buses for service to Downtown Lansing, East Lansing and/or MSU:

• 1 Downtown Lansing - Meridian Mall
• 22 MSU - Haslett - Okemos
• 23 MSU - Okemos - Haslett
• 25 North Harrison
• 26 Abbot - Chandler

Transfers to the Williamston/Webberville Connector may also be made at the Meridian Mall.

NOTE: Meridian Redi-Ride will not provide transportation to or from schools when school bus transportation is available to a student.

Route Details

Use CATA’s Delhi Redi-Ride to travel within Delhi Township or to businesses in a limited area along Edgewood Boulevard and Cedar Street. You can also make connections to CATA's:

• Route 5 South Cedar - Edgewood at Meijer.
• Route 7 Aurelius at any bus stop on Jolly between Aurelius and Pine Tree Roads.
• Route 8 Pennsylvania - Holt at the bus stop on Holt Road across from Holt Plaza.
• Route 9 S. MLK Jr. Blvd. - Miller at Meijer.
• Transfers to the Mason Connector may also be made at Meijer, S. Pennsylvania.

Restrictions

Only businesses will be served in the Edgewood Boulevard area. Single and multiple-resident housing complexes in this area are served by Route 5 South Cedar – Edgewood.

Cameras on Board Paratransit Vehicles

In April 2018 CATA contracted with Transdev, an international public transit services company, to assist with transporting CATA’s paratransit customers. With this new partnership comes a new initiative—cameras on board.

For the safety of our drivers, passengers and community, all small buses and minivans operated by Transdev will be equipped with technology that records audio and video of activities occurring inside and/or outside the vehicle. This technology is powered by Lytx in partnership with Transdev and CATA.
